Where?
Happy horse farm have moved. After 30 years the time has come to change things up. Now present In the beautiful Avianto Lifestyle Estate which are both safe and easy to access from Johannesburg we feel the new yard will have something for all horse riders.
What?
As the name implies we are a relaxed yard with a focus on joy. Our yard has multiple functions including, teaching people how to ride, teaching young horses (Schooling) breeding Arabian horses, stabling peoples horses for them, going on long hacks (between one and seven hours) into the country, training people to do both jumping and dressage as well as teaching and training endurance enthusiasts. We often host pony camps for children and clinics for adults. We have a wooden club house where we meet before and after the ride to talk and swap knowledge and fun.
Why?
Evolving from 1992 as a small breeding yard but soon realized that
the demand for an established riding facility in an area where
there is low vehicle traffic was needed - close to Johannesburg.
Most yards are located in or near Johannesburg which is fine
for pure arena work but is not ideal for people who want to
spend some time on horse back. We slowly evolved and now embrace
most equestrian sports (with the exception of polo and gymkhana).
The yard is run by Ivan and Bernice and supported by a team of adults
and children alike. |
